Fourteen year old Abrielle Johnson goes to a school where the teachers let kids get bullied, and the kids worship the mean girls. She gets involved in head cheerleader, E's plans, when she gets in an accident outside of school. She learns about the Mythical world and an evil mythical called Story who writes destinies and stories. Abrielle finds herself falling for E's ex-boyfriend, Finnegan, who is a half mythical and half human.They hear that Story is writing a tale to destroy all the halflings in the world, and that Abrielle, and her father have something to do with it. Abrielle and her new friends set out on an adventure full of secrets, lies, betrayal, budding love stories, loyalty and most importantly, the truth. Abrielle has to learn whether to trust her heart, or rise against it.
