Evelyne Smith has lived with the Morgernsterns all her life, or at least since she was two years old. The long years she has spent with them have allowed her to get used to the constant abuse she receives from them -- especially from the family's sons. Over the course of her life so far, he has always been there to help her with anything, whether it is learning to read or to wrap up some badly broken ribs. Until recently, anyway. He left for college three years ago and she has not seen him since.
