A pandemic threatens to wipe out the world's population. When more than 60% of the world's population has died, a vaccine is hastily developed and used without extensive testing. The vaccine may save the lives of the remaining 40%, but there is a 50/50 chance that it will put people into a coma and threaten them with never waking up again.
