Ash has just moved to Alton in with his uncle, Ethan Henley. Out of all his uncles and aunts, he has always liked Ethan so that won't be a huge problem. Problem is that his mum seems very insistent that he move to Europe with her, something which he doesn't find very appealing, as that means being away from everything he knows. Luckily, his twin brother, Bo, shares the same sentiment as him and joins Ash. Everything seems pretty boring in Alton at first and Ash wonders whether it was such a good idea to do the move...that is until he meets them.

After having seen one of his friends shape-shift into a wolf, Ash finds himself in the unknown and lands into situations that he has always imagined about, and his life intertwines to a life that he cannot escape. Soon, there are rumours spreading about an old power returning. Ash, Bo and their friends must find a way to destroy the Djinn before he can wreak havoc on humanity. Before he knows it he is now a hostage by an NHS doctor for a while. And then off to another home where he will be a support worker for werewolves. Her grandmother was like her second parent, a replacement for her dad who died before she was born. But then, on one fateful day, Shadow brings home a mirror and a storybook home from her grandmother's house, after she found a hidden note telling her to take it. After her grandmother's funeral, Shadow trips and falls into the mirror, taking her best friend, Alex, along with her. Now they find themselves in a new universe called Euphoria, in a kingdom known as Abesa. Shadow and Alex find they are apart of an old legend of Abesa and that they were destined to come there and save it from swirling into the darkness. Nothing will ever be the same.
