This is a version of the "Sherlock Holmes" series of novels by Arthur Conan Doyle. It is based off his books AND the BBC television show Sherlock. This is not a fan fiction of the show, however the idea was based off it, along with the books. It takes place in today's time:
Helena Watson has a pair of missing parents. With the help of Sherlock Holmes, her lifetime idol, who has mysteriously come back from the dead, Watson battles through mystery, breakups, and true love. Are her parents even still alive? Is it possible that her old love life could act up again? And most importantly, who is behind the massive restoration of the worlds greatest detective, Sherlock Holmes? Want to find out? This is a Sherlock fan fiction. It is set at the beginning of Sherlock's career and his brother has set him a case, the case of the "Country Assassin". The case had gone missing and now it turns out Mycroft was hiding it. He's brought in Sherlock for help, but when Sherlock is sent to the countryside and sent back to education. The one thing he never expected to happen was to get feelings towards a girl especially when the girl you hardly know is the assassin your after and is in contact with your brother. Waking You Up
John dies and Sherlock blames himself, so much so that the guilt begins to affect his life. However, he keeps getting dreams of John talking to him and assuring him that he's not dead. Eventually Sherlock doesn't seem to know reality from dreams and everyone around thinks he's crazier than usual.
