This is a version of the "Sherlock Holmes" series of novels by Arthur Conan Doyle. It is based off his books AND the BBC television show Sherlock. This is not a fan fiction of the show, however the idea was based off it, along with the books. It takes place in today's time:
Helena Watson has a pair of missing parents. With the help of Sherlock Holmes, her lifetime idol, who has mysteriously come back from the dead, Watson battles through mystery, breakups, and true love. Are her parents even still alive? Is it possible that her old love life could act up again? And most importantly, who is behind the massive restoration of the worlds greatest detective, Sherlock Holmes? Want to find out?
