This is a series of short stories, poems and thoughts I've written over the years, compiled into this collection. Most of these were written years ago. Some I've written as early as this year (2025). Well, Sh*t: a true story of Cancer, Prayer, and Emotional Shrapnel by myawritesthings

For your consideration for the Wattys of 2017. Diagnosed with cancer at the young age of 25, I kept a journal through surgery and treatment, wrote humorous (or just uncomfortable) short stories and irreverent poems about my experiences. I'm not going to pretend that I have amazing words of wisdom about dealing with the deadly disease. This is a raw, unreserved look at dealing with some real shit in a funny way.

An abstract, autobiographical coming-of-age story written in poetic prose that chronicles my journey from adolescent to adult by delving into my mind and my subconscious. It focuses on my mental state in my overcoming trials relating to loneliness, anxiety, depression, and existential dread by exploring key themes such as identity, love and existence. Originally written as a diary, my hope is that the work will assist in breaking down stigmas relating to sex, drugs, Asperger's, mental illness and male vulnerability.

This is a memoir I wrote for English class about the struggles of depression, anxiety, and being a teenager.
