"What do you have to hide? An unrequited love perhaps?"

Bruce Wayne is dead and that has took a toll on everyone. Gotham mourns the billionaire, but also knowing the the Bat has suddenly disappeared, the city is a wreck. The only protectors of the city is the family Bruce built. His family didn't take the news very well, especially his biological son, Damian Wayne. He still continues his journey as the boy wonder. In his recent acts, he has been more violent. Bruce's death has torn the Bat Family apart, leaving the boy alone with Alfred Pennyworth. He never expected to enjoy the manservants company but he would prefer his family to be with him too. They are rarely at the manor anymore, mostly because it felt empty without Bruce there. One night, the boy wonder crosses paths with a thief that he has ran into once before. He never got her name and never bothered to look into it. The last time he's seen her, his father was still alive. The last time he's seen her, she was stealing something small. What happens when he finds out that this thief is one no other than the daughter of Harley Quinn and the Joker? What makes the girl so special?

(I do not own the characters in the book. All rights belong to DC. I do own the storyline as it is inspired by roleplays I did as my beloved Lucy Quinzel. Hope you all enjoy)

Gotham City's vigilantes have found a mysterious young woman in a collapsed building, unharmed but shaken. No reason for being there, no hint of where she came from, no record, no information or trust, even in the Batfamily. Then she drops a bombshell; she knows who Batman is and she's determined to face him. In her eyes, she's outraced death but unprocessed trauma has caught up. Her refusal to trust anyone brings tension to the Batfamily. It envelops the Justice League, exposing her connection to a man whose very moniker makes them wonder if she's trustworthy. Why did she pursue them, or what chased her to? To crumble walls on each side and help her emerge, they must sort out who she was before--from memories even she's reluctant to acknowledge. She may also just be a kindred spirit; damaged. Dark connections are never evident from a glance, and unimaginable worlds exist outside your comfortable cities or worst nightmares, but love, family and loss is a universal concept. Mourning alone, far from home, is where no one deserves to be. *Recommended ages 15+. Based in the 'Wayne Family Adventures' universe (not including chapter 7, that's a joke, non-canon chapter), featuring plots, characters and timeline factors from other DC movies, universes and comics, but some original concepts for certain, small DC characters. (I own nothing, it's fanfic. Cover photo is the Webtoon art with a stock image. All belong to their respective creators/companies.) Strong language, violence and implied sexual or intense situations. Brace yourself; that's the trigger warning.
