Axel Wells, an introverted reject, and Claire Ashburn, a Queen B wanna be, are polar opposites with the only thing they have in common is their hatred for each other due to their past.
So what happens when Axel is forced to tutor Claire?

"Listen, I know he may look cute now or whatever, but we're gonna be in High School soon. That's where things get real. So let's go over this one more time. If he ever tries to make a move on you, you look him straight in the eyes and tell him... Axel... I am-"
"Out of your league."
Unfortunately in Franklin High School, a vicious hierarchy still exists. Those who are rich and play sports remain at the top and underneath them are the normies. Right below there you'll find Axel Wells, a "misfit" who hates the sun and basically anything that breathes.
However there was nothing he hated more than Claire Ashburn, a queen B wanna be who takes pride in her appearance and puts her popularity above all things.
Although these polar opposites live in different worlds, fate brings them together when Claire is forced to take tutoring sessions from none other than Axel Wells, much to their disdain.
As you can imagine, shit goes haywire when Axel and Claire constantly fight like cats and dogs. Although they agree to associate only when tutoring, the two unfortunately find themselves running into each other more often than not.
Through all the nasty insults and bickering, Axel and Claire 'accidentally' stumble upon the meaning of the phrase," there is a thin line between love and hate" and experience it first hand.
But Claire's constant desire for acceptance and Axel's grudge against the popular crowd, threatens their ability to learn and grow on these newfound feelings.
