Bubblegum. Out of all the food in the world, I get bubblegum. The most stickiest, disgusting, substance where it's nearly impossible to take off of your hair. People get milkshakes and spaghetti. I get bubblegum. I don't even like bubblegum.
Clover Reynolds never planned for her hair to be spat at. After all she is the popular girl's best friend. But the day she meets Oscar Adams, the schools' good boy, the nobody, is the day her life changed. Clover instantly thinks of him as annoying, rude, obnoxious and a "bubblegum spitter".
Oscar also on the other hand never planned for a feisty girl to pop up in his life. When Clover finds out that Oscar has a secret, she is determined to know. The saying 'curiosity killed the cat' never bothered her anyway but she was wrong.
Her life suddenly turns from a major high-school work to a dark world where knives, gangs and street fighters seem to be popping everywhere. Pop, pop, pop. What was more to come?
Can Clover help Oscar before it's too late and will love take them under his wings and splat it on them.
