The Sword of Fate

When his father leaves him, Rehan realizes his life could actually get worse. But Aym had not abandoned his son. The story that Aym had crafted delicately for all his children - to lull them to sleep under a cold roof - was in fact, real. Any great story that was left unfinished would come to life in an alternate world. And so did the characters Aym made. And when finally, Rehan called⁠-prayed, miserably for help, one of them, the villain of Aym's story, came to Earth. To save him.

"You!" Cerise said, pointing the pen at his head, almost as if it could become a gun on her command.
"Yeah, um, you want some cheese?" Rehan held up his sandwich. "I get it, they got over pretty fast, right? Here-"
"I don't want cheese."
"Oh."
Cerise sighed and lowered her pen. Sure, this was a weird world with weird people wearing weird clothes and well - she could go on, but why the hell were the only two people she could recognize her enemies. And why, for the sake of Crepus, were they acting so friendly?
