The new kid is all everyone is talking about, and Clay isn't a fan of it. The most popular kid in school somehow got pushed away for this weird British kid to be the hot topic of the school newspapers. It put Clay off track with football, and for the first time, he didn't make the team.
Clay was frustrated until he saw papers being put up onto the walls, promoting the school's drama class. After thinking about it, he decided to try it out. He was excited to finally be the newspaper topic again, until he saw that stupid new kid was also interested in joining.
After weeks of anticipation, the roles were announced. Clay looked at the cast list to see he got the lead, but the love interest was the new kid.
After faking and playing the roles the two started to get closer. Was it all just for the show, or was there a spark of love for one another?

Clay had been closeted all his life and planned for it to remain that way. But, with having homophobic parents it was seemingly impossible to ever find the happiness he longed for. After being outed to the only people he now disliked the most, his parents react worse than expected and Clay falls into a pit of loneliness when he gets sent to conversion therapy to "turn him straight again". George had homophobic parents too and goes through the same. When times are at its worst somehow these two meet each other and now they are isolated from reality in the therapy school. After George accidentally outs himself in front of the popular and homophobic guys of the school everything seems fine at first. However, that soon changes when he receives weird and hurtful messages online, this soon escalates from just one message to something much more serious. Meanwhile, Clay is closeted yet he has known he likes boys for a while now after falling for George. However, he can never seem to find the time to talk to anyone about this as he has to constantly help his sick mum and sister. With the cyber bullying all becoming too much, George becomes extremely overwhelmed, while Clay finds himself taking more and more medication to calm himself every day.
