In the not-so-far future, humans have colonized other planets and have begun to divergently evolve. Tatiana is an ordinary Termixian girl, but on top of her limited magic abilities, she has a Gift: she can see six seconds into the future. When her Gift is simultaneously discovered by the Criminal and Anomalous Magic Investigation Organization and a blind, Gifted psychopath named Squall, she is thrust into a quest to end his rampages, but what if he isn't the crazed killer that he appears to be? A darker evil lurks on the horizon...

With a charming smile, the boy slid closer, his face only inches from hers. "My name is Squall," he nearly whispered. "As you can see, I can't, so you'll have to forgive me for getting close." An electric chill went down Tatiana's spine when he put his hand on her forehead. He noticed that she was trembling. "Calm down, this will all be over soon," he said rather seductively. "Tatia-"
She narrowed her eyes at Squall and rammed her head into his to make sure the message was clear, and he lowered the sword slightly, wincing in pain. That nickname was reserved for family, and close friends if she ever had any. Her eyes teared up as she remembered her mother and sister, who she would probably never see again. "I see I hit a sensitive spot," he said, laughing quietly, almost robotically, and she cringed.
"Anyway, Tatiana," he corrected, bringing his sword back to her upper chest, "do you have any idea how incredible you are? I've spent a long time looking for someone like you." Squall smiled to himself. "I suppose even now you're searching the future and working out what my next move might be. It all depends on a simple question, really. Will you join me?"

BOOK 1 in the Drowning/Bully Standalone Series.
WARNING: This book contains intense bullying, explicit scenes, triggering language, violence, and psychological content.
"You need to call off this party," I boldly told my stepbrother in the kitchen.
He cocked his head attractively, his thin eyes scrutinizing me. His upper lip curled up in that seductive habit that I had become familiar with.
"And why should I do that?" he murmured. His eyes were come-to-bed-with-me stunning, inviting with me with that inescapable pull, and damn if I didn't wet my panties.
Get it together, Madison, said my insidious voice.
I almost complied with that command until Caden went on and said something that left me breathless before his egotistical smirk. "Will you be my snack tonight?"
He hates you. Don't forget that. I was reminded by my subconscious.
***
Caden always goes extreme to make my life a living hell since after our parents got married four years ago. Although I'm similar to my stepbrother-the only difference between us is: I am a surreptitious bully, and Caden's a blatant bully. I wonder how sharing the same apartment for our first year at Stanford University will turn out. Honestly? I'm not eager to find out.
Step into an adventure of passion, forgiveness, and second chances in this compelling two-part saga.
This is Caden and Madison's story.
