The world was a ballroom of sweet wine, sour dances, and bitter blood. At least that's how I remembered it. Parties were held every night. A blur of spinning gowns and terrible masks.
It was so intoxicating. Breaths of sticky alcohol, mad dashes from one room to the next. But then this was how it'd always been. Of course, that was before you came.
I was sugary candy that stuck your lips together, made of wishes and melodies.
You... weren't.
