Damaris Priden isn't afraid of death but she never expected to confront it head-on as she did at this moment. The young revolutionary has big plans for the future, and being forced to have an audience with Queen Dinah doesn't exactly fit in with them. Neither does meeting others with similar, inexplicable backstories and mystifying abilities. The Queen has awakened the abilities suppressed within her as a child, abilities that Damaris had hoped to never use again. But the young woman lives in a dangerous place, which makes her powers all but necessary for survival.
