Todoroki found out he had depression when he was 13 it was really hard for him especially because he didn't have anyone to comfort him.

When he got to UA and met deku he finally had someone to comfort him when he was going through ruff times. He started to catch feeling and he wasn't the only one.

Deku makes todoroki not feel worthless anymore.
