This book is essentially just a compilation of all my short stories that I've written over the last couple of years. Story titles with '🏷️' are inspired by a short story prompt or other literary work, whilst ones with '📙' are stories purely from my own imagination. Ones with '🧩' may be an excerpt from a larger story I'm working on, but can still be considered as a short story by itself. Also just letting you know in advance that I wrote quite a few of these when I was younger and they are really bad 😅. Well, even my recent ones aren't the best. All I'm saying is... these are my very rough drafts, so read at your own risk, and please be positive or feel free to (politely) point out any mistakes so I can make them better :) Enjoy! Content Warning-This story is meant for mature audiences. It features adult language, references, situations, sexual content, graphic violence, and gore. Fantasy, horror, and science fiction are my favorite genres to read. They are also my favorite to write. I've enjoyed writing since I won my first writing contest in the fourth grade. That was over twenty-five years ago and I haven't shared a sinlge word of it. Imposter syndrome is a bitch! Well, I finally managed to pull the trigger. Here is "O Negative". It's a mix of all of my favorite genres. I've mixed a fantasy, based on present-day Earth, with plenty of graphic horror and wrapped it all up within a world driven by the technological advancements that only can be obtained from millions of years of civilation. A small group of strangers find themselves surviving in a decimated world. It's bad enough to be stranded in a no-name town, but things become surreal when you realize the vast majority of humanity has died...it becomes terrifying when you realize you aren't that lucky to be alive. "Survivor's Guilt" isn't a thing when you find yourself the sole food source for an entire group of beings that no longer need to hide in the shadows. Man is no longer at the top of the food chain...they are now the cattle.

We move a lot. It's usually my fault, I have magic, lightning to be precise, my sister, Megan, she plays with fire and my mum, well I'm not too sure, but she pretty powerful. We all are, unfortunately my powers come with consequences, I can't control them. I try but I can't, as a last resort we move from the big city to a quieter, more peaceful location. We came to the decision to that would change our lives for ever, concealing our magic away from harm and forgetting it's very existent, but these things can go wrong..... Very, very wrong.

From the contest Write to Rank, a competition about action writing with challenges every week. This is my entry on the contest. Hope you enjoy it. Released : Part 1 -white belt : write a 100 words flash-fiction action about the realization of danger. The wordcount must be exactly 100 Part 2 -yellow belt : write a 500 words flash-fiction with the prompt "Dead or alive. You're coming with me." The wordcount max is 500 words Part 3 -orange belt : write an 800 words flash-fiction with dialogue between good and bad. The wordcount max is 800 words Part 4 -green belt : write a 1000-1500 words flash-fiction using the genres of action & thriller/horror. Must mostly contain active sentences and fast-paced. It has to be first person perspective. Part 5 -blue belt : write a 1000-1500 words flash-fiction using the theme "Ride or Die" with a third person perspective and the show not tell sentences. Part 6 -purple belt : write a 1000-1500 words action fantasy with a plot twist. Part 7 -brown belt : write a 2000-2500 words action + free theme and with active sentences. End with an insane cliffhanger. Part 8 -red belt : write a 3000-3500 words (continuation of the brown belt) + active sentences and fast-paced. Part 9 -black belt : write a 4000+ words to end the story of Part 7&8.

And in front of him is a book. It's floating. Like, in mid air. Literally. I froze thinking of the worst things. Arthur then noticed me and the book hit the floor. "Hey, Hana," he greeted. Huh. He looks pretty suspicious. "Hana-" "Two questions," I said interrupting him as I held out two fingers. "One, what are we doing here and two, is that book possessed or are you?" Arthur's eyes widened. "Oh, I was just...practicing what we're going to do today," Arthur said as he gestured me to sit down. "Uh, huh?" was all I could say as I sat down. Arthur sighed. "I'm about to teach you magic." "Uh, huh?" Hana Anderson didn't expect her parents to send her twin brother and herself to a secret magical academy. Hana thought she was ready for anything that came, of course, she lies to herself a lot. Deep down, she doesn't want to face the dangers yet to come. Hana was definitely not prepared when a demon abducted her twin brother, Samuel, and brought him far from the school. But when things are as they are, you have to do anything to keep yourself and your loved ones safe.
