Nisha Volant finds herself in a tricky situation after having killed a man who had forced himself on her. In the midst of running down the street from the man's friend, she finds dark alley and hides, hoping to escape what could be the bringer of her death.

When a loud sound like the scraping of metal mixed with what sounds like a distorted alarm, she finds that Tokyo's lights have been replaced with complete darkness. The only sound is a chime.

Nisha has crossed into Borderland.

And she must find her way out by winning games and making a few more kills in order to make it out alive.
