Hughes, who has an obsession with murdering and stuffing people teams up with Inigo Argyros, a social outcast who enjoys dark places, and Kevin Doyle, a chain-smoker, as he roams the world in hopes of finding and finishing something before his inevitable rearrest and sentencing to death.

College friends Leonardo Azevedo and Gordon Leith are new to being undercover police officers and are given duty after duty before eventually being tasked with apprehending a dangerous death row prisoner who happened to escape. That, of course, is C. Hughes.
