It's a normal day at Shelter 17, until a new Agent is sent to work with Lucky and his team. Everything's as planned, until everyone finds that the new Agent was a part in Squirt's life while he was a young pup. What Squirt doesn't know, is that his past life led him into becoming a Pound Puppy. But there's some stuff Squirt doesn't know yet. Could his questions be answered, or will his anger get in the way of his mission
This is a one time story of mine. Probably the only one I'll ever write. Squirt is my favorite Pound Puppy, and we never got to know about his past (apart from his Zoomit Competition life). So I'm giving him his own past story

'Before we leave, I was wondering something... I noticed that your social worker called you Will and I suppose I'm wondering which name you preferred?' Wilbur was surprised that he noticed such a small thing, but he supposed it accounted for the surprise that he had noticed earlier. 'Oh, I prefer Wilbur if that's okay sir. My social worker always forgot to call me Wilbur and I stopped correcting him a while back.' He replied, choosing to ignore the feeling of anxiety at the realisation that was the most he had talked throughout their meeting. 'Alright mate. Oh, and please call me Phil. Sir makes me sound older than I actually am.' OR A fluff to angst to fluff adoption AU where Wilbur Soot gets adopted into the SBI household just before his 18th birthday after years in the foster system. Now, he must learn how to trust his newfound family and find that it's okay to be dependent on others. But after so many years of only relying on only himself, Wilbur struggles to do that. After all, can a story ever be that simple? Trigger warnings are at the top of each chapter. There aren't many but check them out anyway.
