Well, Mario wasn't strong enough to defeat the Shadow Queen. He is forever a servant and follows every order she gives. Doopliss gives his loyalty to the Shadow Queen and is now really a Shadow Siren. Now just a ragtag resistance are trying to get rid of the vile witch in the background.
