For Special Agent Aaron Hotchner, smiling had become a rare occurrence ever since his wife left him just over a year ago. His team only ever saw him smiling when he talked about or saw his son. 

However, when a new profiler arrives at the BAU, everything starts to change. 



Special Agent Skye Freeman has had a tough life. After being hurt and betrayed by everyone close to her, she decides to start her life over in a new city, where nobody knows who she is. 

The one thing she promises herself is that this time, she won't let anyone in.
