TW: death, murder, suicide, gore, (slur free) homophobia and mentions of abuse.

The last thing Rebecca "Becky" Hidgens expected on her prom night was a kidnapping. She had always dreamt of working in digital forensics and was looking forward to stopping kidnappers in her future. However, at no point did she ever want to take part in one. Kidnapped by the OCG known as Asunaro, Becky and her friends now have to work together in order to overcome this "death game" they are being forced to participate in. Who will survive, and who will not?

NOTE: This is NOT canonical. Also, the original characters and Costa Crew book were created by my very good GryffindorViola, so go check that out first.

If you're wondering when this book takes place, I apologise. It's a bit confusing. This is set before the events of the first novel (well, except the prologue). However unlike the canon book, this book is set in a universe in which Becky's good friend Paul Houston is dead.

29 parts Complete

It's always an inconvenience when your old high school rival tries to kill you, as Becky Hidgens can confirm. But things are picking up - Amelia Murphy's in prison, and she's speaking to her friends and family again. Maybe she can finally have a normal life? If only it were that simple. Becky might be ready for normality, but the world isn't ready to give it to her. When tragedy strikes, it's up to the Costa Crew to solve the mystery before it's too late and the forces of darkness close in. All that while Ted Green deals with an arrogant superior, Charlotte Monroe struggles with the knowledge that her job is a dangerous one and she has two children to look after, Hannah Perkins adjusts to life in the spotlight after years of working in the shadows, and Paul Houston's faith in justice is challenged as he begins to look at the police force from a new angle. How hard can it be?
