undergoing 1st round developmental edits!! When Edith, an overworked college student goes no contact with her parents, she must find a way to financially support herself while she gets her degree. She enters a writing competition in which the winner gets a book deal. When she struggles to write the violence in the slasher novel she decided to write, she turns to drastic measures for inspiration. After all, you should write what you know... a/n: hi guys!! this is an (incredibly) rough first draft of what originated as a project in my Creative Writing class. We were given the school year to write an original novella, and this is mine! I've grown really attached to the plot, but at my current writing skill, I don't think I could've properly gotten the point across in the time I was given. I'm publishing it here both to share it with my friends and to hopefully find proofreaders! I would really appreciate it if you could leave suggestions in the comments as they occur, or dm me for longer explanations! I'd also love to have people to help with the outlining in general, so dm me if you want to see the outline so you can critique that as well!Complete

I flinch as his hand reaches to my face, and aggressively pulls down the cloak from my head. He surveys my tear stained face and jewelry all the way down to my dress. Then he speaks, "what's your name?" I open my mouth but no words come out. Fear grips me again. "I believe I asked you a question," his eyes grow darker. "Al-Alice" I whisper. !!!!THIS IS AN INCOMPLETE STORY WITH A WORKING TITLE!!!! WARNING: This is a super dark and fucked up book. I cannot stress this enough. This isn't my usual stuff. It contains attempted murder, full murder, torture, heavy possessiveness, violence (heavy on the violence), guns, talks of murder and crimes and crime families. There are mentions of abuse and sexual abuse and animal cruelty. While some of these you won't see, they will be mentioned and the effects of them will be discussed. Please read the above and take is seriously. PREMISE: A Canadian woman, while on a trip to Italy, witnesses a murder completed by a Mafia family. She makes an odd request that is granted. One Italian sunset, one sunrise, and a quick death. However it does not go the way it is supposed to. She survives and to protect the family, her attempted murderer, a very openly psychopath man, marries her to prevent her from being able to talk to the police. The book, when completed will follow how she adapts to this marriage and how they come to an agreement as she works through her trauma from her own childhood being raised by a psychopathic father while being married to an unrepentant killer. And while her husband realizes that his form of control isn't the ONLY way of control and that sometimes, giving up control can be a good thing and sometimes being unable to feel most emotions doesn't mean that they still can't be there in some form.

You need to learn that you won't be going anywhere. You're mine." With that being said, his other hand slides down to my waist "Your entire body, your mind, your soul. All mine." That sinister grin stayed plastered upon his lips as he said, "Run." *** I, Skyla Ashforth, am what some might call a "sociopath." It was a title that fit. Why shouldn't I embrace it? I am a vampire slayer, a Reaper of bloodsuckers, and an exceptionally good one, if I do say so myself. Yes, being a sociopath has its perks; I could manipulate and deceive with the best of them. So, when captured by the notorious Red Prince, I embraced the challenge of manipulating my freedom. Pierce Darcee, was a sadistic vampire with a God complex. The fool actually believed he could break me. Little did he know, I was the kind of Reaper who would dance through a battlefield, whistling a merry tune as I twirled my braids. I relished the challenge of manipulating his oversized ego, planning to stab that rotting, blackened heart of his with a venom-laced dagger. I crafted a scheme so delightful, so intricate, that I couldn't help but salivate at the prospect of victory. It was foolproof, or so my mind believed. But then... then there was that pull. That unexpected, unwelcome spark that ignited something within me. Feelings, of all things! Now, that was a complication. Disgusting, messy feelings that could very well lead to my destruction.
