Dylan King was a normal teenage girl. She's had some hard times in her life like everybody else, but otherwise, life wasn't too bad. It was always just her and her mom for as long as she can remember. Her dad died while fighting a fire when she was two.

That was what her mother told her anyway...

One day, Dylan passes out during school and when they can't get her to wake up, she's taken to the hospital. Two days later, she wakes up to find out that her mother never showed. Instead, there was a social worker in her room.

She find out that her mom isn't her mom. She's the woman who kidnapped her from a park when she was two. Now her whole world is upside down and she feels like the universe is against her.

She attempted to soothe me, attributing the tumultuous visions to my overactive imagination. On one occasion, I inadvertently overheard my mom and aunt engaged in a hushed conversation, puzzling over what impending revelation they were deliberating. Eventually, I mustered the courage to confront the enigmatic man who had been shadowing me. "Why have you been following me? Who are you?" I demanded, my voice quivering with trepidation.
