Amelia Shepherd lives in L.A with all of her friends and her 9 year old daughter Eleanor or Ellie for short. Amelia is an ex drug addict and woke up in bed one morning to her dead fiancé, Ellie's father. Amelia loves L.A and all of her friends but wants something new for her and her daughter and since her brother lives in Seattle it all works out good

Arizona Robbins currently shares custody of her 10 year old daughter Sofia with Mark Sloan. Arizona is a die hard lesbian and has recently gotten out of a marriage with Callie. Callie now resides in New York with her new girlfriend leaving her daughter in Seattle with her ex-wife and baby daddy.
