In order to survive in Meteor City, there are two simple things one must understand: You either buy what you need, or you steal it. With poverty at a typical high in the unbearably tense environment, Eden makes a living stealing from the rich and unsuspecting passing through. However one misstep has her knocking on death's door... And Chrollo Lucilfer appears like a knight in shining armor, offering her comfort and safety. It is apparent he is not there for any simple matter, most definitely not by coincidence, but his reasoning remains a mystery.

Determined to figure out more behind her blank past and fully initiate herself into the Phantom Troupe, she embarks on a journey to take the 287th Hunter Exam, where she can obtain a license that will help not only the Phantom Troupe in their next heist, but will also help her dive neck deep into the secrets surrounding her odd appearance and unique abilities. On the journey, fate lends a hand as she meets Kurapika Kurta and his small group of friends - though she cannot decide if it is for the better or worse. Together, the group faces the trials and errors, while slowly melting her cold ways.

As time goes on, Eden is torn. She begins to understand that not everything must be repaid or stolen, contradicting everything she's ever known. Will she put her trust into the five boys in front of her, or will the web Chrollo wrapped her in so tightly pull her back into a life of crime? The clock is ticking, and it's only a matter of time before she must choose her newfound friendship, or the comfort of a familiar path.
