This is another short story that I have set in the first world war. It's a short read, but an emotional one, I think. I wanted to show a brief look into the toll that war takes on not only the soldiers, but the parents who endure the aftermath of the war as well, complete with an unexpected-or expected depending on the reader-conclusion. I hope you enjoy, or at the very least take something interesting from this short story.

After being added to an unknown online group chat with twelve other individuals, our four main characters realize that they would have to follow in their parents' footsteps: beating THE GAME. Only this time around, the sixteen of these players would have to deal with a lot more than an in-game war. The four main characters, being born into an apocalyptic version of Earth due to a new antagonist created by some nosy cherubs, come into this story already having a hard life. Defeating a galactic tyrant and ending an Alternian civil-war are just two of the many hardships these individuals would have to go through, along with internal conflict within their group due to obvious differences and many life-changes. (The world-building of this story is based on Homestuck, with the 20 original main characters only playing a small part. This story has all original characters, a whole new plot and hardships, and of course, drama!)
