Kazuha is taken to train and become a samurai from a young age. One day a new boy joins that looks nothing like a fighter, a perfect target for young bullies. The only one that doesn't judge by looks is Kazuha. They become close, almost inseparable. The vision hunt decree forces the boy to flee. When they reunite again, it's at the start of a war. And more than that, they are no longer young boys training together. They are a Fatui Harbinger and a samurai. Scaramouche has little time left to tell his story before the battle starts.
