My phone kept ringing. It just won't stop. And every time the same name, "KELSEY". Kelsey is or rather was my best friend. Things are a little up in the air right now. Oh I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Danielle. You can call me Dani, Dan, Dam, D... whatever you like. I used to study in Lakewood Academy. Stop the trains. I'm not that old. Still just 16. (Almost. My birthday is in four months. Well I waited for 188. What are 4 more.) You must be thinking, 'What is with the past tense, huh?' Well it is not a typo. I actually just transferred to Springfield Academy. In the middle of my sophomore year. I just left Lakewood without so much as a note or goodbye to my friends. They think I'm just on a leave. Little do they know that my leave is never ending. (They were partly the reason I left. Didn't exactly have the heart to tell them otherwise.) I'm planning to return to LW next year. I just need a break, a breather. The superficial reason is financial. But if you wanna know the real reason,(you know it's her friends. Well if you wanna know in detail) you gotta read the book. Follow Dani as she embarks on a new adventure with new friendships and romances. Old ones too. She was pretty popular. They aren't really ready to leave her. New friendships developing. Old ones breaking. Despite Dani trying to keep them. Will she be able to get her breather without breaking all the connections from her past and go back to her old life once she is emotionally stable.
