I still can't believe it's been 30 whole years since my favorite game series of all time was born. June 23, 2021, 30 years since it all began...I guess time flies as fast as Sonic can run. Here's to 30 more years! Sonic's adventures will only end when he stops running.

...and, Sonic Adventure...it's one of my favorite games of all time. However, I have always had quite a problem with its story, well, not the storyline, in fact it's one of the best, but I was never a fan of the dialogue and cutscenes--specifically, the English localization. I don't think it has aged very well. There's dumb-sounding lines like "Watch out! You're gonna crash! Aah!!" and lines that barely even make sense, such as "That's Eggman! I wonder what happened to Sonic?"

Now, I will be rewriting the English localization to what I think they should've done way back in 1999, or what it could be in a possible Sonic Adventure remake.

I'm going to write one character's story at a time, and who better to start with than our titular character himself, Sonic the Hedgehog?

Huge, and I mean HUGE thanks to this YouTube channel for translating the Japanese Sonic Adventure script and other awesome games to English: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbIN7v5nv4aNEpa7YCLyOHL1A85ECjfR9

Most of this couldn't have even been possible without you. Thanks!!

WATTPAD BOOKS EDITION There are imperfect moments in every life-but sometimes, there are perfect accidents . . . What's the point of pretending nothing has changed when everything has? It's the last summer before college, and Jonas Avery knows he should be excited. Instead, he hides out at home, avoiding his friends, his family, and everything that resembles his old life. Because nothing will be normal again-because of The Accident, when everything started falling apart. Brennan Davis knows she needs to stand up and face her anxiety-the deep, dark, debilitating dread that rules her everyday life. Because what stops her from going out into the world and just living is going to get a whole lot worse. She's leaving for college in the fall, where she'll be confronted with even more to worry about. To get back up sometimes you have to fall down, hard . . . When Jonas crashes into Brennan-in a harmless, albeit embarrassing fender bender-the two teens connect in ways they never expected. As friends, they help each other overcome their biggest falls and faults, and soon discover that while love can't fix everything, it's sometimes a place to start. Sensitive, wry, and unabashedly authentic, The Opposite of Falling Apart isn't about finding perfection in another person or fixing the things we think are broken. Instead, Micah Good has penned an enchantingly honest novel about accepting the very pieces of ourselves that make us unique, whole, and undeniably human.
