Tanjiro Kamado was born with an unusual condition that gave him a very sensitive nose. At the age of six, Tanjiro grew fox ears and a small tail. When he became twelve, he grew even more. Unfortunately, on the night of New Years Eve, Tanjiro's family was slaughtered by the Demon Lord, whom turned his sister into one the next morning. 

During training to become a Demon Slayer, Tanjiro finds more of these fox people who help his way to Final Selection, where he learns a dark secret about being a fox that is dangerous enough to take his life. 

Along the way throughout his journeys, he befriends two demons, one of them creating a cure for his sister.  

He gains even more friends throughout his journey as he encounters more of the Twelve Kizuki, causing more troubles for him throughout his training, but one day, during a major attack, his real beast unleashes...
