A Biography in the making.
This is the true story about the life of my mother, who is currently 91 years old.
Born in 1931 and given up for adoption, she may have been one of the last black market babies in Chicago.
She was motherless, abused, and forced to give up her firstborn.
She got divorced in an era where it was seriously not cool.
She raised six children, only to out-live her oldest and her youngest.
She cared for her husband of over 50 years when he became ill - and then wrote a book about it.
She beat cancer - twice.
She is an artist, a poet, and an author and has a great sense of humor.
I'd call her a survivor, but she'd probably say, "It's just my life."

I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21. Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world. I hope anyone going through either heartbreak, grief, insecurities, mental health declines are able to read this and know that they're not alone! Mother Knows Best
You know how you trauma-dump on your friends and they say, "Omg, that's insane, you should write a book about it!" Well, more people have made that remark to my mother as she exaggerates all her stories, so I took the liberty of taking that advice for myself. I am a writer, after all, and I tend to write out my feelings and trauma to work through it on my own, just to delete it later. But why not make some of those memories that haunt me so much into story form? It's definitely more entertaining. So, you'll find my entire life story, or at least what I remember, here in this book on Wattpad. Each chapter is a real event that occurred in my life, mostly involving my emotionally abusive mother, nearly absent and aggressive father, my runaway older sister, and even a little boy we fostered for a moment. If you're interested or possibly are going through something similar, please read and know that there is hope. I made it out and I am on my healing journey, it is possible.

I fell for what wasn't right My step brother, I love my stepbrother. I know it's wrong but it fells so right. I know we aren't blood related but we've know eachother since we were babies we were raise to think we were really brother and sister but just last year we learned that my mom married his dad. All my life iv been alone. I grew up in an orphanage where my mom dropped me off at 6months and never looked back. She gave them all my documents and told them every month she going to deposit money for my up keep and she did. Every month the nuns at my orphanages will dance like craZy when the money goes through cause that means that our doors will be open for one more month. When I was 5 the orphanage changed it name to Zibusiso Care. My name and we started receiving funding like crazy allowing our kids to go to the best schools in SA that also giving me an opportunity to grow. When I was 18 I had to leave to study and I did go and did communication and bagging a degree. Than on my graduation day which is today, i received a letter of appointment to come for an interview as a project manager to one of the biggest and world known company and am in nerves. Bare in mind iv never applied there. That the story of my life, things just happen for me. Just like how I got a letter of this apartment am staying at, just like how its got furniture to all the things that I love and adore and just like how BMW called for me to fetch my car and I got there its a blue M series just like how my phone rings now and than and I get what I need at that specific time. The Fight I kept within Me
Tell me, Lord, why me? Dealing with this pain and misery. The weight of the world on my shoulders is killing me, trying to provide for me and my family. The devil is content and focused on stopping me guess it is like back in the day where we all sin. I am focusing on a higher power just changing what's within but it's hard. I had Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and had to undergo Chemotherapy and a Stem Cell transplant, back in 2003. My whole life changed. I wrote this book when I was 17, when all my treatment was over, to catalogue everything I had learned and experienced. I had no information about Cancer during my treatment; it was all aimed at adults and I was a teenager who didn't understand most of what happened. So I wrote this book. I was a teenager when I wrote, when I had Cancer and I wanted this to be an information, honest account of what it was really like to have Cancer and go through the treatment....from a teenager's perspective. It's sometimes funny, sometimes sad, always honest. There may be parts that you squint at, because you're embarrassed to read them...well, I was embarrassed writing them. I just graduated high school and instead of celebrating it with my friends. I choose to go on a bus for an hour's ride to my sister's to celebrate my graduation with her and her friends. They had just become foster parents and hadn't had any foster children yet. They asked to foster Christian with adoption in mind. They adopted a Christian year later along with Elliott Trevelyan Grey 8/12/1981. Elliott's only living relative died in a car wreck while he was in his car seat in the back seat. Three years later they adopted a 14 year olds twin identical girls Mia Amelia Trevelyan Grey and Maya Anne Trevelyan Grey born 7/15/1987.
