Misora Suzume wants to become a hero but staying home won't get her far, at most she'll become a rescue hero, an under appreciated group of people. Quirks aren't as common in the states so most people distrust those born with them, outcasting them as strange and dangerous. The few schools that are available for people with quirks treat the students like criminals in the making, drilling into their heads that they must bend to the law and restrain themselves from using their quirks-for the sake of society.

Sora wants to help, to become a hero.

Her dream leads her to apply for a chance at heroism. That means leaving the states and going abroad where quirks are celebrated and appreciated. She applied for multiple schools in China, Japan, and South Korea. The chances of getting in were slim but she was hopeful, so when she saw that the infamous UA High also had a foreign program she thought-why not?

Never in her wildest dreams did she think that the UA would actually accept her. There was only one problem-her mom. Nanami Suzume was the definition of mama bear-despite her bird-like quirk-she was overprotective and strict. She hated the idea of Sora becoming a hero and putting her life in harms way for the sake of others. Nanami moved from Japan to get away from that lifestyle, to give her daughter a better life.

Sora's greatest fight wouldn't come in the form of a villain or some catastrophic disaster but it would be facing her mother's wrath. Her mother's incessant hate for heroes wasn't unwarranted but Sora doesn't know that-but she will.
