All Midoriya wanted was to become a hero.
But what purpose did a hero serve if it was part of a flawed society?
Izuku Midoriya was revealed as an omega on his 14th birthday. Already being quirkless, Midoriya took this secondary gender as a heavy blow to his dream career as a hero. Most of society looked upon omegas as "weak" and "toys" which led to negative reactions when an omega ranked higher than betas or sometimes even alphas. Midoriya hid his second gender from everyone, and lied he was a beta. This was how Izuku was able to obtain One for All and get into U.A.
With so much extra training and not to mention heats, Izuku found it harder to conceal his omegan identity. One fateful day when Izuku forgot to take his suppressant pills and started his heat at a crowded mall, an unexpected (*ahem* crusty) savior appeared at the right place at the right time without meaning to.

Society had never accepted omegas as it never had for villains. Maybe Izuku and Shigaraki were more alike than they thought...
