The Hogwarts years have flown by with one great flourish of Dumbledore's wand, and Lily Evans has finally fallen in love with James Potter. Everyone expects James Potter to reciprocate after his six long years of chasing, but something seems off about him and another Gryffindor, Adeline Lark.
Adeline Lark is a silent, mysterious girl always scribbling away in her journal or reading novel after novel after novel. She despises the world, and the world hates her for it. She lives in a reality of her own. No one seems to know what she's thinking- except for James Potter himself.
When Adeline finds out her entire world is on the brink of collapse, she strangely finds solace in a new Muggle reading group, called the Dead Poets Society. And in that group is none other than all four of the infamous Mauraders, and of course, James.
Can they see through her cold act, or will the ice drain into her heart? Will James forever love Lily, or has his heart been stolen by another? Will Adeline learn to love?
And what exactly, pray tell, is written in the notes in the margins?

Epiphany
Lily's tired of the growing grudge that's taken over Hogwarts. She's tired of the Gryffindor-Slytherin rivalry, of the Marauders and their stupid pranks, of the blood prejudice and even of her best friend, Severus. James is tired too. He's grown sick of this game of pretend, where everyone acts as if everything's fine when it's really not. His friend group is drifting apart, his grades are plummeting and now there are all these expectations! Something needs to change this year.
