Tommy had never had a true home. His parents died when he was very young, and after living with his grandparents for a few months, he had floated from foster home to foster home for his entire childhood.
Sometimes he stayed for a few weeks, sometimes a few days, and one time he only lasted a few hours.
Mostly, they were nice people. They just weren't ready to handle a "troublesome teenager" as he was labeled.
Some, though, some used him. Some took the money given to them to care for him and pocketed it. Some refused to feed him and would hit him if he asked for food.
Sometimes it was better to be quiet than to worry about that.

In the ""wise"" words of c!Ranboo, "choose people not sides." Sometimes, though, you have to choose a side. Tommy's lived in the same town forever, his two older brothers taking care of him and all the other crimes in the city as the top heroes after the death of their parents. From running around town with Tubbo (and maybe Ranboo sometimes) to skipping school (also with Tubbo), Tommy could probably take on the world as long as he had his best friend beside him. However, when you're assigned a side from birth, it's hard not to have enemies...... ~ ~ ~ Mostly Tommy's perspective, some angst so TWs will be listed at the beginning of those chapters. Behavioural Tutor
Tommy was known as the school's 'Bad Boy', the 'Troubled Kid', the 'Problem Child' and in extreme cases, the 'Psycho', all because he was different. No one understands him, until one day when he gets a Behavioural Tutor and a Therapist. He's had them before, but these people seem different. They're willing to listen to him, to learn about him, but in doing so, realise something is off about Tommy. Is he just a cool kid with an attitude, like Techno? Or is there a secret Tommy's tried so hard to hide. One that would explain his behaviour and frequent injuries. One that would make Tommy a victim and not a culprit. So... this got derailed so uhm... it's now a gang book! I have no idea why people like this monstrosity but wooooooo angst! Im not really going to go into too much details with TWs, (I don't want to spoil the plot) so read at your own risk. I'm really sorry! But nothing's truly perfect, and over the years his family broke apart along with his sanity. By the time he was 27, he had lost all hope in the world, nearly blowing up a motel and himself. Before he could, he broke down and was sent to a mental institution nicknamed Limbo. . . . Alex never knew his birth family, he was too young to remember them. When he was 3 he was placed into a foster system where 4 years later he was adopted by his foster fathers, Sam and Ponk. They already had a son, George, and Alex loved him, they got along really well (at least that's what Quackity thought) When he started High school he fell madly in love with an older boy, Johnathan, although he preferred Schlatt. The two dated for a few years, Alex growing more and more aware of who he was dating, he ended up leaving the man and 3 years later taking in his son after Schlatt died of a heart attack. . . . On Wilbur's 13th year in the institution, he was sure he would just be stuck in this Limbo, left to wait until he finally died, no one could help him and it seemed that no one wanted to help him. Now, he must learn how to trust his newfound family and find that it's okay to be dependent on others. But after so many years of only relying on only himself, Wilbur struggles to do that.
