"Do you even know where we're going?" I turned to look at my best friend behind me and glared at him. "Shut up, Jake. We're away, that's all that matters." *** Imagine six foster children trying their hardest to make a new home work, all the while they are being horribly bullied by the very people they are supposed to call "parents". Well, this is the case for Lizzie and Jake. They are doing everything they can to stay together and take care of the younger children; Bella, Kevin, CJ, and baby Raelyn. But when nothing changes, Lizzie and Jake realize they aren't safe anymore. It's time to go. Now the challenge is to try and survive on their own. With the limited money they had, what could they afford? How would they find a home? And, if it came down to it, who would hire two fifteen-year-olds like Lizzie and Jake? In this story, you'll follow the journey of Lizzie, Jake, and the children as they try to make a home for themselves and stay away from their foster parents. I hope you come to love the characters as much as I do. Author's Note: I'll try to update one chapter a week, but I may be delayed every once in a while. Please keep in mind that I work full time. Thanks, and hope you enjoy!

Despite years of abuse by a close family member, Maya is starting to learn the meaning of trust and love with the help of her new family. She's made friends, loves her adopted brothers, and is even growing closer to a boy at school despite the alarms ringing in her head. But as Maya knows, just when things start to feel right is usually when they begin to go wrong. When she finds out that someone is following her and wants to see her fairytale ending go up in flames, will she rely on those around her or handle it herself as she has had to do her whole life? Maya struggles to navigate high school, older brothers, and PTSD/anxiety that tell her she doesn't deserve happiness. She knows now that she is not just a victim, but with the world and people from her past seemingly out to get her, who will she become? Reviews from readers: "This is such an amazing book I enjoyed every word. WHEN IS BOOK THREE OUT OMG?" (it's out now) "It's one of the best series of books I have ever read." "I need more!!
