When I thought of war I thought of foreign lands, abandon mountains, explosions, the cry of dying soldiers, the echo of bullets buzzing by ears of the wounded. I never pictured my bedroom, the abandon mountains as half packed suitcases, the explosions of lies and betrayal instead of bombs. The only crying seemed to be mine, and yet I was no dying solider. The bullets that wizzed by my ears weren't deadly ones shot by an enemy, but the meanest words spewed by a lover.
