You had spent all your life preparing to get revenge from Bolg, the one who had ruthlessly murdered your parents. But all your dreams and wishes seem to fade away when you get to know that you will be married off to Prince Thranduil in Mirkwood, for an alliance with your Uncle's kingdom. Things become even harder when Thranduil seems to show no effort in trying to make the marriage work. Will you be able to melt this cold Prince's heart? Will you support him when he decides to abandon his alliance with the dwarves and let them die? Will he reciprocate your feelings?

Mirkwood (Thranduil and Tauriel post-BOTFA)
The relationship between Thranduil and Tauriel after the Battle of the 5 Armies. How Tauriel is dealing with the aftermath of the battle as she goes back to Mirkwood and realizes that she has always wanted Thranduil's love and affection in her life. It turns out there has been more behind their turbulent relationship than they let themselves believe. The story follows their relationship from the days and weeks after the battle to many years later, during the events from LOTR and after. I absolutely loved their chemistry in the Hobbit and this is my first fanfic. I tried to keep the characters as close to the movie versions as I could (since Tauriel only appears in the movies and Thranduil's personality is only vaguely presented in the books). I am also including info about what happened to Thranduil's realm after the Hobbit from the LOTR book appendices...
