Fifty years back he was put into a capsule, because Professor Gerald Robotnik thought he was to unsafe to be around Maria. Years later Maria found Shadow's capsule and set him free, Causing a siren go off. Shadow finally woke up, grabbed Maria by the hand and ran through the halls trying to get away. Suddently hundreds of men (G.U.N) started running towards them, trying to shoot Shadow. They missed. Maria was on the ground suffering, muttering her last words "Escape Sh-Shadow, don't let them g-get you.." Many years later Shadow, teams up with a girl hedgehog named Jenni. Jenni knew Maria personally, they were best friends. Eggman tells Shadow into thinking that Black Doom done all of this for revenge on Gerald Robotnik. Will Shadow believe Eggman?
