A SECOND CHANCE

Then welcome to the club, cause neither do Sam and Elaine. After succumbing a horrible fate, Sam and Elaine have all but given up on fairy tales and happy endings. They dont think they deserve a happy ending cause they feel they already lost their chance at it. But what happens when life decides to play games with them and bring them together . Do they finally forgive themsleves and grab the second chance that life gives them or do they just let it slip away because of their fears and insecurity.

Elaine just hummed her response as she mulled over the words Sam said.She perched herself further into his chest, his rhythmic heartbeat and warmth giving her a strange comfort during such a horrible day. She drew circles on his chest as she heard his heartbeat that was slowly lulling her to sleep.

"we should get some sleep." Sam annouced but made no bid to untwine himself from her. They both needed the comfort today and he had no intention of leaving her just yet.

He pulled the duvet over the both of them and put his free hand under the duvet and over her waist, pulling her closer to himself if that was even possible.

"I know it feels like a far cry from the truth but trust me when i say this, Everything eventually will be alright, Elaine. Goodnight sweetheart ." and with that he kissed the top of her head.

For a min he thought Elaine had already fallen asleep and didn't hear what he just said , but just as his eyes were about to flutter close, he heard a soft voice saying "goodnight Samuel" and then a chaste kissed was placed on his chest.

Sam smiled at the brown eyed girl and with that he fell into a calm, warm and dreamless sleep.
