Kims pappa Krister är präst och hans mamma Maria är musiklärare på den lokala Gymnasieskolan Eken. De lever alla tillsammans i en stor, röd villa i den rika delen av Viken.
Johnny är artonåring som lever ett hektiskt liv i Göteborg tills hans föräldrar får nog av hans drogproblem och skickar honom till ett rehabiliteringshem i den underbara, lugna staden Viken i Dalarnas vackra landskap. Långt från storstaden och festerna, tror de iallafall. Han bor tillsammans med hans rumskamrater Tora, Arvid och Nana går på den gymnasieskolan Eken.
