Half Orphaned Half Abandoned

Adaline Bennett's life changes forever when her and her younger sister Harriett arrive home only to see it up in flames and their parents missing. Soon after, she loses her sister as well and is taken in by her mother's best friend Muriel who happens to be a vampire.

She decides to investigate by using her mind reading abilities but not before Muriel gives her a companion for her journey. Muriel's twenty one year old son named Silas. Her best friend Allison also joins her and Silas on their quest. Secrets emerge about her family and the community she lives in. Loyalties will be tested as she searches for the truth.

A few days pass and there are reports of animal attacks and fires throughout the city. Adaline knows that it can't be a coincidence that these events are happening one after another.

As The Wolfwave draws nearer, (A giant horde of werewolves that comes out every thirty years or so) things get progressively worse and more and more secrets are revealed along the way that will make Adaline question everything she's ever been told.
