Childe was supposed to defeat Liyue. Zhongli was supposed to watch out for the Fatui. Their plans were simple, yet neither were able to fulfill them. It took Childe three and a half months to feel at home on the other side of the ocean, and five minutes to be kicked out of a place he had unexpectedly grown fond of. Before returning to Snezhnaya, probably forever, he is offered one last chance to reconnect with Zhongli, who secretly took the boat with him.
The choice he must make is not a simple one: ally with Zhongli and Venti or risk his own life alone.
