It all started as a normal ordinary day when I was eating my sloppy muesli, on my crumpled old table and shrivelled up chair with Star ,my pet dog when suddenly there was a tapping on the door.
"Who could that be at this time in the morning?" I asked Star.(I knew she couldn't answer but she was my only family left since the tragic day)
As I turned the door knob it creaked loudly.
I looked outside and nobody was there so I shut it thinking no more of it but just as I turned around something touched my shoulder.....

Not daring to turn round I looked at Star. She ran into the living room worriedly. Trembling with fear I turned around that's when I saw it the creature.
I couldn't move, i felt stuck.
It had green skin, black eyes matching his black teeth dripping with purple blood.
"Beware" it said in a low monstrous voice.
"Of-of what" I said.
"Of the Gold Gem" it said.
But before I managed to ask anything it rushed out the door.
Faintly I heard in the distance "Remember beware of the Gold Gem"
I shut the door slowly and then went to sit next to Star we looked at each other we were both thinking the same thing.

It was dark and I was all alone I couldn't see anything, not even my hands in front of me. I felt all sick like I had a cold. " Where am I ? " I asked. " Your in your my mind ? " a voice replied. It sounded like we were in a cave. " What do you mean I'm in your mind ? " I asked again. " We are telepathically linked now, you can't run from me anymore, " replied the person " Just stop messing with me and tell me who you are and where am I, " I Sid. I started to get really eritated. And what did the person mean by you can't run from me anymore. Who was it that I was running from. Then I started to get a little dizzy and my through started to burn. Then all of a sudden I felt a sharp pain in my chest. I woke up. I was in a white room with like 1,000,000 bright light on me. It hurt a lot. There were cords tied up to me and I didn't know where I was.

It was now nighttime and I returned to my room which was very dark. The curtains were closed, strange I'm sure it was open this morning... Whatever. I put my bag down and went straight into the shower. I didn't spend a long time inside cause I was very tired and wanted to sleep. It was an exhausting day, I searched for some work, but like usual I failed... I sighted. I went out of the bathroom with only a towel around my waist and started to sit down when someone pushed me into the floor. Shit! Who was that? What did he want? I was very afraid and I had a lot of question passing my mind in this few seconds but didn't want to submit to my aggressor. I groaned and tried to get myself up, but he... Yeah, he was too strong and big to be she... Put his knee on my back and started to tie my hands together with some rope. Was he trying to kidnap or tie me? I froze in fear for a few seconds and stopped moving. I suppose he let his guard down since I stopped struggling, so I took this chance and flipped us over. It was now my turn to be on top and somehow succeeded to untie myself. I was lucky he didn't have time to fully tie me yet, so it was kind of easy. It was dark, so I couldn't see his face, but I still put my hands around his throat and started to strangle him a bit. 'W-Who are you and w-what do y-you want?' I asked trying to hide my fear that I miserably failed. '...' He still didn't respond, I was starting to loose control on myself. His silence was killing me and I started to shake in fear. Then he spoke and caught all my attention: 'You're so cute when you're afraid pet.' I froze, I recognized this voice and my fear turned to be true. All the struggling to escape, to disappear, to forget about him now came back in an instant. I was now trembling constantly losing all control of my body, my hand lets go of the man throat and all I could do was shakily say: 'Dimitri...' THIS IS A BOYXBOY STORY, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!

Big empty rooms. Yells echoing across the corridors. The stench of Mother's whisky breath. The sound of the clock in the dining hall where Father never eats, endlessly ticking away the hours without him. Sometimes, there are scars that don't go away. This is not a love story. It's not about magic and hope. This is the story of my life, for the times I had no one but the stars. _____ I clambered onto the roof, even if it was chilly for star watching. I needed a helping hand. “Why?” I asked the sky, the moon, the stars—anyone who would listen. But they didn’t answer. How childish of me, to talk to the stars, I was pathetic wasn’t I? Yet I tried again. “Help?” Nothing. “Talk to me you damn stars!” I shouted. Just then, a shooting star flew by, like a dashing stroke of paint, gone as quickly as it had come. It seemed that this was my chance. I said, “I wish someone would love me, as much as I love the stars.” And to those words, I went back into my room, my cell, and awaited my fate.

I watched her as she slept. In fact I have been watching her since she was born. I have waited half a century to find that one person. I think I have finally settled on her. She was my choice. I know. After being in as many relationships as I have you know things. I felt my fangs tingle. Her blood smelled so sweet. Her heartbeat was steady and strong. I took my tongue and ran it across my fang. The temptation to indulge in her red liquid was far too strong. I let out a low growl and jumped out her window. I was ready for a hunt. "Did you see her Jordan?" "Yes, and tomorrow night you will turn her," "Why do I have to turn her?" "Ezra, you know once you turn them, they hate you," "I didn't hate pops," "You wanted to join though," "True, but first see if she wants to be turn before you jump to conclusions," I nodded my head, before me and Ezra took off to find some fresh blood for the night.

My mind scrambling to process what had happened as I felt rubble falling around me, surrounding me in darkness. I reached up, my arm stinging as I hit the hard wood table over me, which was keeping the rubble off me, miraculously. I wiped my forehead, sweat, and probably blood dripping down my arm and side of head as I reached for a nearby rock, trying to push on it, hoping that it might help me out of this disaster. "Mom? Betty?" I called, hoping for a response, only to get none. I didn't even get the slightest whimper from any of them. What the heck happened? "Mom?! Betty?!" I screamed this time, trying to push myself up onto my back, my leg killing me so much that I had to give up. I laid back down on the ground, placing my hand on the bottom of the table; anger, fear, confusion getting the best of me. I screamed as I banged my fists on the wood table. "MOM? BETTY?" Nothing. I was ready to bang on the wood again, but I flinched back when I heard the sound of moving rubble. Whoever it is was almost near where I was, and ... moving quickly. So, there's no possible way that it was a human. It would take hundreds do men to lift these boulders, but whoever this person is, is stronger than anyone I would kn- My thoughts froze as I watched something large wrap around the edges of the table, lifting it up; my eyes widening as I came face to face with the largest creature known to mankind. A giant. (This is my book from my own brain. These are my own characters based off my family members. Please do not steal it.)

I rubbed my eyes and stretched my arms. I extended them too high for they have hit the glittery dream catcher hanging on the headboard of my bed. The said item dropped on my face. "Argh, get off me." I removed the dream catcher from my face and sat up on my bed. I turned my gaze to the clock on the side table; it was 7:15. "Ugh," I moaned. "it's too early." I closed my eyes and tried to sleep again. A few minutes passed until somebody knocked on the door. "Marie," said the person who knocked on the door. "Let's go already!" Shoot, I forgot. No wonder I woke up so early. I quickly rose to my feet and rushed to the bathroom. "Marie! Are you even awake?" I didn't respond just yet because I was in the shower. A few moments later, the same person knocked on my door. "I've got the keys, Marie," she said. I could hear her shaking the keys outside my door. "You can't stay asleep forever!" Hurriedly, I placed on my blue blouse and pants. I grabbed the brush from the bathroom and started to comb my dark brown hair. Rushing to the door, I opened it to see my friend Ranie Accendo. I eyed her gray blazer over her white shirt, pants, and boots. "What took you so long?" she asked. "Nevermind that." I shook my hand dismissively. "Where are we going? If it's not important, I'm going back to bed." "To the forest." "The forest? Why?" "Mom!" I yell unattractively and begin to go to the living room that is by the stairs. I walk into there with my body slumped and notice something. We have company and I had five pairs of eyes on me. I straighten up and look at the bodies of whom the eyes belong to. One being my mom, her brown straight hair in a ponytail, nicely dressed, and wide eyed. Another is my brother, seven years old, blond tousled hair, he is also wearing something nice. Then I find three pairs of new eyes. One a women who has blonde curly hair, a female child also with the same hair, and then a highly attractive male who looks about my age. Seventeen. Malia is just like any other girl, goes to school, has friends, and makes new friends. This "highly attractive" male is her new neighbor. What happens when they begin talking? What happens when they become close? What happens when one of them get seriously hurt? "We are neighbors. We were meant to be neighbors."
