When Riddick is thrown into Butcher Bay maximum security prison he comes face to face with a mysterious young woman who he is inexplicably drawn to. He recognises her energy as the same as his own, could she be another of his own kind?

Mace entered into Butcher Bay as a young girl, charged with murder of a ship's captain, no one listened when she pleaded self defense and so here she was; almost a decade later and somehow still alive. When she watches the new inmate being lowered into the pit she instantly recognises the dangerous energy rolling off of him in waves; he's trouble and she hasn't made it this far by involving herself with trouble.
