"I heard you started a riot in the yard today. Care to clue me in as to why?" I looked away from her slightly, my expression unreadable. Daphne was my only friend here and I didn't want to lie to her but it was best she did not know.
"I had to. Don't ask, please. The less you know the better."
She nodded her head slowly. "So what was the point of the riot? Did it work for whatever your reasoning?"
I nodded. "Yes it did." My heart hurt with the memories of seeing Brody's wolf running towards me. I had to look away before she could see the pain in my eyes.
I helped her lay down and then I sat on the edge of her bed and spoke to her more softly.
"I have to get out of here. It's life and death for someone I love more than life itself. Can you help me?"

I finally escaped the factory, they kidnapped me from my college. Today is my birthday, and I had planned for it but nothing helped, only calming me down for the moment.
