Most kids on Christmas like to get up on christmas morning and run downstairs to get their presents. Not this girl named Michaela, she was diagnosed with cancer Sept.12th 2007 at age 9, She had lung cancer. Michaela lived as any normal kid would, besides all the doctors appointments every other day. She took a medicine called kemo which made her lose all her hair. On March 5th 2012 Michaela's doctor determined she no longer had cancer. Celebrations happened everywhere, her family was so relieved and happy that there was no cancer. Michaela was a homeschooled child, but her mom and dad decided to ket her go to school, it was a new experience, but she made lots of friends. Christmas 2013-2014 Michaela wanted to donate 10 inches of her hair to locks of love because she knew what it felt like. She felt so good doing that so Michaela decided to go to the childrens hospital and give out presents and tell her life storh to all the children and let them know it does get better.
