Loxwood Clay Pits Limited has issued a scoping report on its proposals to excavate minerals i.e. clay, from a clay excavation site in Loxwood which is precisely located on the old Pallinghurst Estate located approximately 1.5km to the east /northeast of the village of Loxwood, and immediately west of the A281 Horsham trunk road. Geologically, this site has been noted by the British Geological Survey (BGS) England and Wales as being underlain by the Weald Clay Formation. This project will serve the waste management industry, construction industry, waste recycling industry, clay pits industry, and many more. After the compilation of the project, the site will be restored back to deciduous forestry plantation along with an addition of a small fishing lake for the benefit of the local community.
