Beauty and the Beast meets the Labyrinth in the story of a woman lost and a man who couldn't care less.
I made a slight mistake. And by slight, I mean an uncharacteristic lapse in judgement has landed me in a place that my rational mind cannot explain, and my body cannot escape. A land full of strange creatures and decaying landscape all ruled by quite possibly the rudest, most rotten person I've ever had the misfortune of meeting.
Luckily, I'm a woman quite capable of adapting to my surroundings and I have no problem going toe to toe with my grumpy adversary. I might even turn this dismal place around if I'm here long enough.
 I wonder, though.
For someone who insists he prefers a solitary existence, he sure seems to pop up to antagonize me often enough.
Imagine my surprise to find the one person I wanted to avoid is the one I've come to crave more than life itself.

He finally found the one. The one that he had given up on finding at such an early age, he finally found the person who could complete him. Now he just had to make sure he could keep her safe. He had found her in the worst possible place: right in the middle of a case. "By the way," his partner pulled him out of his thoughts. He surprised him by giving him a mischievous smirk. "That growl? 10/10 in my book. Very spooky. 9/10 on Rotten Tomatoes for Plot and Suspense. Of course, one point was taken away for doing it near humans, a woman, nonetheless. But, other than that, loved it." He had to take a deep breath for that. He stopped walking and glared at the man. "You know," he started. "One of these days you're going to wind up dead because of that mouth." "From you?" "Possibly." "Good," that smirk never left his face. "You have no idea how annoying it is being immortal." "Can't be worse than being friends with one," he rolled his eyes and continued his walk. As much as he was excited to find his love, he couldn't help but be concerned for the woman. She was a gypsy without a past or a family. And it seemed like there was more than just him looking for her. But who was it? And why? Why was she trapped in that glass? Detective Jim Magnar didn't know the answer to that. But he had a feeling that this was just the start to something much grander than a simple call on the police radio. It was a destiny trapped in glass. And now he had to figure out where it was leading him. * A mystery romance with a supernatural twist! Come and join this detective's ragtag group of friends and coworkers as he deciphers who is after the love of his life! Will he be able to win her over? Completed 07/31/23

What happens when gods and goddesses fall in love? What happens when the hero isn't you? Everything seemed to have hit rock-bottom for Karma. A college educated former Marine and now a convicted felon, it would be easy to say divorce was hard. With a daughter on the way from a spur of the moment relationship, he was ready to accept whatever dead-end path life was heading. Lucky-or unlucky-for him, the gods found a suitable purpose for someone of his...caliber. Seduced by a succubus and dragged through the thin veil that separates dimensions, he found himself face-to-face with a woman chasing an invisible butterfly. Unaware of his circumstances and on the verge of being granted magic, he decided to help Ehma. There's no way he could know of the spell affecting the hotel's resident ghost or the plot that brought them stumbling into each other in another world. Ehma wasn't looking to be saved. In life, and in death, she took matters into her own hands. With a lifetime of manipulation and betrayal behind her, she just wanted to move on. This is no harem and definitely not a place for heroics. The women are powerful, the magic deadly, and the relationships...complicated. Jaded and disillusioned, Karma begins a journey to prove whether he's the man he thinks he is and whether he deserves the chance at redemption only true love can bring.
